When I worked for companies such as Oracle to
lead teams into emerging markets, I often saw
that companies often fail to be successful at
a reasonable cost, if successful at all!, and
that often they fail for the same reasons. Lack
of preparation, lack of market knowledge, inability
to move fast, lack of flexibility, starting with
the wrong markets, no feet on the ground…
This is especially true for North American companies
entering the European markets.
I decided to found Andiamo with a great
team
of friends from previous companies that share
a passion for a job well done and a passion for
knowing the European markets and cultures.
We are now in 2005, and Andiamo keeps growing
and being profitable. Today, we have great successes
in getting companies started in Europe and selling
big-ticket items (100 to 500k USD software solutions,
for example) into the European “Fortune
1000” companies.
